Ananya Sophia Phillips

That's her name. Today we received a Decree of Adoption. After checking with the courthouse, we know its final. THE ADOPTION IS FINAL.
611 days have passed since the day we first saw her picture.
223 days have passed since we held her the first time.
Today she is ours FOREVER.
We couldn't be happier.
Unlike most other families, we don't have Adoption Day pictures. We didn't have to go to court or anything. I just wrote a nice note to the lady at the Clerk of Court asking her to expedite our finalization and it's done.
THANK YOU GOD!
And thank you to all our friends and family who have supported us throughout the last 611 days.

Anthony's Blog

I added the link on the side to Anthony's blog. He will start writing hopefully next week. Some of the posts may be all about video games, but it will get him writing. I have posted a picture of our first big project. An "Earth Cake". It turned out cool. Anthony piped the continents.

Finally, I'm Back!

Sorry I haven't updated in so long. I feel like the last month has been insanity. I have pictures and a new blog to share.
We have started homeschool. We are 3 weeks in. I love it. Anthony Hates it. He isn't really giving it a chance though because he wants to be in school with his friends. That is part of why we are homeschooling. Because he wants to socialize and not get his work done. I've partially lured him with cake and hopefully soon we can start some field trips. That would be as soon as the flippin' insurance company figures out what they are going to do with my car. Last Wednesday night, Patrick was in a pretty bad car accident. Praise the Lord, no one was seriously injured. My Expedition, however, didn't fair so well. Now we are waiting to see if the truck will be fixed or totaled. I personally am hoping it is totaled.Yesterday, Ananya had her Botox done. I must say it was one of the hardest things I have ever gone through with my kids. The used sedation and so I being a nurse was scared to death. She did well however. By yesterday afternoon, I had no idea she even had anything done as she was crawling and playing like normal. She got injections in her arms, hamstrings, and calves. Now we just do lots of stretching and strength building exercises to get the most benefit.
